Polish mayor died after stabbing

the Mayor of the Polish city Gdansk, Pawel Adamowicz (53), died today in hospital after being stabbed down on the stage during an event in the city yesterday. It reports the hospital according to BBC News.

Overpowered

The 53-year-old mayor spoke during a charity event when a man came in great speed and cut him down. The man charted out on what looks like a celebration with a knife in hand, before he was overpowered.

Adamowicz got life-saving help on the spot and was rushed to a hospital, but died that day.

The alleged offender is a 27-year-old criminal, who was recently released from prison, and who wondered onto the stage by means of a pressekort.

the Man should have shouted that he was imprisoned on the wrong basis of the previous Polish government, which was led by Adamowicz' party, liberalkonservative Borgerplattformen.

Inexplicably barbaric

Poland's interior minister Joachim Bruzinski from the kristeligdemokratiske and nasjonalkonservative Law and justice party describes the attack as "an unreasonable barbaric act." Partifelle and president Andrzej Questions states, according to The Guardian:

PROGRESSIVE: Pawel Adamowicz was a progressive politician who bl.a. participated in last year's Pride parade in Gdansk. Photo: Agencja Gazeta / Reuters / NTB Scanpix Show more

today, my thoughts to the Adamowicz family, and all who love him.

Adamowicz was a lawyer by education. He marked himself as a progressive politician in Poland, and participated bl.a. in Gdansks the Pride parade last year.
