Phoned mother in a panic: - I feel that someone is going to kill me

on Tuesday this week found a veiarbeider a red suitcase lying on the roadside during a routine checks in the city of Greenwich, about 55 miles outside of New York city.

On the inside of the suitcase found police 24-year-old Valerie Reyes. She was fully dressed and bound at the hands and feet.

the Suitcase Reyes was in was found on what is described as a quiet and deserted road about 14 miles from her own apartment.

the Police told at a press conference Tuesday that they are investigating the case as a homicide.

No one has so far been arrested, but the mother of Reyes, Norma Sanchez, tells the New York Times that her daughter called her in a panic the night before she disappeared.

She told him about how terrified she was in his apartment, " says the mother to the newspaper.

- Someone is going to kill me

Sanchez lived alone in an apartment in New Rochelle in New York, and according to the mother had her daughter heard about the multiple murder of women in the area. Then she called her mother, she was very upset.

I feel that someone is going to kill me, " she said according to her mother Norma Sanches, but his daughter had never told them about any specific that threatened her.

But the fear of Valerie just would not disappear.

After the two had put on the tube promised the 24-year-old that she should try to relax and later that same night got mother a message from her daughter that read: "It's better now, mom."

Probably seen on video surveillance

Local police told at a press conference earlier this week that Reyes had been on the job as usual on the same day as the phone call, and that she the day before so his family for the last time.

Reyes, however, has probably been observed in the centre of New York city the day after she disappeared.

- the Death occurred at a different location

the autopsy report is, according to the New York Times, not ready for a few weeks. Nevertheless, police are told that they are working from a theory that the death occurred in a location other than where the 24-year-old was found.

Every time we have a tragic event like this, it is always important for us to remember that there is a family inside in the picture. We send our warmest thoughts to the woman's family, whoever they are, said the captain of police Robert Berry, to CNN earlier this week.

Police in Greenwich have involved at least three politidistrikter in the investigation.
