Papizeit: The people should decide

Now there should be a referendum on the introduction of paternity leave. National Council and Council of States had opted for a break and for fathers from two weeks, after the people's initiative for a four-week holiday has been withdrawn. They would come in the spring of 2020 for a vote.

But now there may be a referendum vote. Tomorrow Friday a civic Committee from SVP, CVP, and Young invites freethinking in Bern to the media conference under the title "more and more payroll deductions from all free holiday of a few". Present national councillor Diana Gutjahr and the city of Zurich councillor Susanne Brunner, both of the SVP, Patrick Eugster, Vice-President of the Young liberals of Zurich, and Arthur Loepfe, Alt-CVP-national Council of Appenzell-Innerrhoden.

Susanne Brunner had right after the final vote in the Federal Parliament, of 27. September, according to Alliance partners for a Referendum sought. Initially, it looked as if they received no support. The Swiss trade Association and the Federation of employers of SVP said that after the party's President Albert Rösti had advertised for a joint Referendum.

Now an Alliance has come, apparently, but it is, at least indirect involvement of the trade Association. SVP national councillor Diana Gutjahr is Vice-President of the industrial Association of the Canton of Thurgau.
