Several countries, including the united STATES, New Zealand and Australia, have banned Huawei from their mobile network, in fear that the chinese company is tied too tightly up against the chinese state and chinese intelligence agencies.
Huawei-boss went Tuesday out against accusations that his company is being used to spy on people on behalf of the chinese government. Huawei Norway believes it is wrong to ban a player from the Norwegian market due to the country of origin.
- We are concerned for what we believe is baseless and undocumented claims, and we have requested constantly that the evidence be submitted. We have supplied equipment to the Norwegian telecommunications network in many years, and have always had a good working relationship. We want to be transparent and open about everything we do, " says security chief Tore Orderløkken in Huawei Norway.
At the end of the month, meetings of government, Telenor, Telia and Ice to discuss the development of 5G network and which providers should be used.
