Optima Sportstourer is the underdog, Kia throws in the fight. It is stationcarudgaven of the second generation of Kias big Optima sedan, and after a day in the company of Sportstouren at the international presentation on the German roads around Munich, we have no doubt that the big car has plenty to offer.

But it can get difficult to mærkevarebestsellere like the VW Passat or Mondeo.

Not because the Optima fail something, but because firmafolket greatly buy a car with the emotions and focus on the brandvalue, and it's tough odds, when the base price is high and competition almost drops their prices.

Why should Optima have something extra to offer.

The 4,86 meters long, the station wagon matching the broadly sedanen on goal, while the elegant popo cover a practical cargo area. It is with its 552 liters, however, less than Passats 650 liters.

A practical design with rumopdelt double bottom and splitbagsæde that can be laid down with a handle, draws up. Indoor, the site is magnificent, both for and aft, where there is plenty of room for long rods and air to the high hair.
