New report: the Danes fear again corona

What will happen with the economy? And what about my family?

Such concerns makes the danes themselves, and all-new figures show that concern is growing.

Since coronakrisen really broke out in Denmark in march 2020, the research project HOPE at Aarhus University, measured the danes ' behaviour and attitudes to coronavirussen.

today, the statistics show that the danes ' fear is at its highest level since mid-march, when Denmark was sent into lockdown and the hundreds of thousands of danes sent home from work and education.

In the summer months where smittetallet was low, the decrease of the general fear of coronavirussens consequences.

But the HOPE of the project latest figures show that 72% of the surveyed danes now fear coronavirussens consequences. In June the figure was 54%.

It is particularly concerns about the country's economy, society, vulnerable and your family, that fills with the danes.

almost 80% are at no or greatly concerned for the country's economy.

Just about 60% fear for his own family and the ability to take care of the weakest in the society.

One of the researchers behind the report, Andreas Roepstorff, watching the numbers as that the danes have a good base to act actively against coronavirussen:

- What is most thought-provoking is that the changes we see, in fact, have been started in a month's time. The concern rises, before we start to see it on smittetallene.

- It suggests that the general feel for what is on the way, really is good in the population.

Therefore, he believes that it will be easier to convince the danes to use, for example, mundbind:

- the Danes ' sense is that coronakrisen not only is the individual's responsibility, but a collective responsibility.

- It is important, when you look at some of the measures we are facing now. For example, mundbind, where it not only trades that I need to protect myself, but that we need to protect each other.
