New Porsche model beats the impressive record

Porsche has sent a mildly camouflaged production-ready version of the upcoming Panamera around the famous almost 21 kilometer long race track of the Nürburgring Nordschliefe. And so did Porsche and the driver so well that it was a new record.

Porsche will not provide the specifications on the testbilen, but telling, however, that Panameraen was a production-ready gadebil, which in the occasion was equipped with racersæder and-sikkerhedsbur to protect the driver. In addition, ran it on Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres specially developed for the new Panamera, and they can be ordered as an optional extra when the car receives its world premiere later in august.

The approximately 7 min. 30 sec., it took Panameraen to run around the Nordschliefe, is about 13 seconds faster than the Panamera, as Lars Kern drove around on the same track at the 7 min. 38,46 sec. back in 2016. If you are wondering that the difference is not worth 13 seconds, so due to the fact that in 2016, the ran 200 metres shorter on the Nordschliefe compared with today.

Porsche has, therefore, measured when the new model passed the 20,6 kilometers, which was the distance at the time, and it made the new Panamera in the time 7,25,04 minutes - that is about 13 seconds faster.
