A week after the narrow election victory of his Likud party, Israel's Prime Minister Netanyahu has been once again entrusted with the formation of a government. It would be his fifth term of office.
Israel's President Reuven Rivlin has instructed the acting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu once again with the formation of the government. 65 of the 120 deputies in the Knesset would have said to Netanyahu of their support, said Rivlin at the televised ceremony on the side of Netanyahu. This now has 28 days to form a new government. The period may be two weeks extended.
President Rivlin granted Netanyahu charged with forming a government.
