Franklin has taken five OLYMPIC gold medals – four 17-year-old in London in 2012 and further in Rio 2016. Furthermore, it has been eleven world CHAMPIONSHIP gold medals during his career.

”It took a long time to say the words 'I quit'. A long, long time. But now I'm ready,” she writes.

”Swimming has been, and will always be, a big part of my life. I plan on definitely continuing to be involved in what I think is the world's best sport, just in a different way.”
