Skodfrit Denmark. Today we shot sommerkampagnen #skodfritdanmark in time. Cigarette butts are plastic, and what we find most in our nature - everywhere. As the children from the Naturcenteret said today: “It's obnoxious”. So remember to take care of #dknatur in the summer sun.#dkpol pic.twitter.com/BQrIagqKrR— Lea Wermelin (@LeaWermelin) July 1, 2020
- It is waste, as in trash, says Lea Wermelin in a press release.
cigarette butts are the type of waste, one finds most of them in Denmark. Every year there thrown several million of cigarettes on the streets of cities and nature.
- When they are thrown in the nature, they become mikroplast, which don't just disappear. Cigarette butts contain toxins and heavy metals that can do harm to our environment. The butts are therefore not to in nature, it sounds from the minister.

the Environment and Food ministry informs that across the whole of the EU introduced a oprydningsansvar for tobacco products.
This means that in the future is the tobacco industry, that have to have the money out of your pocket when it is removed cigarette butts in the cities and nature, that cigarette manufacturers should label their products with plastikindhold and finance a campaign to put the focus on the negative effects, as it has to use nature as an ashtray.
- the Tobacco industry should pay for, that will be cleared up. It is only reasonable that it is the polluter who pays, says Lea Wermelin.See also: DSB insert the rail replacement buses at jysk aorta
