Heathrow is Europe's busiest airport with more than 200 000 passengers every day. It is not clear in which way the group wants to ”shut down” the airport.
for Heathrow said, according to The Independent, that it is aware that any form of protest is planned during the Friday. According to the spokesperson, there is a plan to deal with any protesters trying to disrupt air traffic, and extra police resources have been called in.
”the Airport is a part of our infrastructure and we will not allow illegal demonstrations that disrupt thousands of travellers during the easter holiday. We ask all protestors to think about,” said the airport in a statement.
