the whole team of lawyers in the back defended FIFA's deputy secretary-general Alasdair Bell on Monday in an hour the president of FIFA, Gianni Infantino. It happened at the strangest press conference, as this klummes authors have ever experienced. And we have been a part. The meeting was arranged in haste from Sunday to Monday. It looked like panic.
A special prosecutor in Switzerland, Stefan Keller, has raised a criminal case against the former attorney general, Michael Lauber, and against Gianni Infantino and his childhood friend, Rinaldo Arnold. The starting point is three meetings between the parties. Meetings from which there is no agenda or minutes. Lauber has lied about the meetings, and is a finished man, which threatens to end in a rigsret.
criminal charges is tentatively reached that there are indications of criminal actions. It is the violent accusations, which is enough in the first place is directed against Michael Lauber, but the speculation goes on, that Gianni Infantino has used the meetings to ensure that he is not himself under investigation.
is nothing to come after, said Alasdair Bell again and again at the peculiar press conference, which took place through the network. But if Infantino is clean as nyfaldet snow, why the hell he asked not even up?
There, he later promised Bell, but if Infantino has nothing to hide, he should then have explained why he needed to hold three meetings with Michael Lauber. And why was it not his own people in FIFA who arranged the meetings, but the island and the jurist Arnold, that Infantino has gifted with travelling to among other things, the WORLD cup in Russia.

is it right, that neither the Infantino or the Lauber can remember, what was talked about at the meetings?
We have nothing to hide, said Alasdair Bell repeatedly, but unfortunately, Infantino't remember the content of the meetings, of which the last took place in June 2017.
thought, it is quite natural that Infantino keeps that kind of meetings with the top prosecutor. Others would argue that it had been more naurligt, if it was FIFA's so-called independent ethics committee, who met with the prosecutor. There is the ethical committee, to ensure that there is irregularities in FIFA.
also, the ethics committee, where appropriate, to take a position on Infantino must be suspended while the special prosecutor is examining whether the FIFA president has done in the nettles.
have a clue about the independent ethics committee do anything. Alasdair Bell does not believe that Infantino must be suspended. And of the independent ethical committee, as Infantino himself has appointed, says not.

So, we have instead asked law professor Miguel Maduro, who has previously been in the FIFA's ethical committee. He was fired by Infantino, when he refused to approve the former Russian minister for sports Vitaly Mutko, as a member of FIFA's governing council.
As I evaluate the case, there is no illegal, but it does not mean that Infantino has done anything criminal. It should specialanklageren find out.
– But it, which is come forward, should be enough for FIFA's ethics committee to begin its own investigation of Infantino to find out his role in the meetings.
– It can be occurred the breakage of FIFA's ethical guidelines in this case. There are strong reasons to believe that the Laubers participation in the meetings was in violation of swiss law. It is therefore right to ask the question about Infantino ought to have known that it was illegal. If this is the case, he may have violated article 13 and 14 of the FIFA code of ethics.
– In article 13 states that the ethics committee can punish the persons who have contributed to the damage to FIFA's reputation.
– and I stress that Infantino did not have to have committed a breach of the law to be penalized through FIFA's ethical framework. It can only happen if he has offended against the code of ethics.
Maduro not the only one to think. But, so far Infantino stacked a whole wall of lawyers up in front of them, and so can you wonder that football money should be used to defend a man with such poor judgement. The meetings with the Lauber sucks, and the peculiar press conference on Monday did not help his case. Instead, it was a simple own goal.
