WikiLeaks once stood for transparency and disclosure. In the meantime, the idea had been overshadowed, says the Journalist Beckedahl in an Interview with tagesschau.de . The sun is also on Assange.
tagesschau.de: What is in Julian Assange for you personally in the foreground: His contributions to WikiLeaks, or the problems that have developed around the platform and his Person?
Markus Beckedahl: Assange is actually a tragic figure. He was a great Innovator for a future-driven journalism and has initiated a lot of things, which were taken over by other media culturally.
However, he has become in the past few years - probably due to the Situation with his asylum process, and his flight before a possible extradition to the USA - getting stranger and stranger.
