With the ‘Cruise ship of Bales is the author Marc Peeters, least of all to his advantage. Previously he thought of all the ‘Tower’, the ‘Volcano’, the ‘Monument of Bales’ - an edible Atomium, the ‘Balense Reus’ and the ‘Star of Bales’. Eetkampioenen from all over the world were already on the spot to the various eetuitdagingen.
This year started, Marc Peeters, the ‘Cruise ship of Bales’ out of his creative hat. It comes to a baguette 57 cm with mayonnaise, lettuce, tomatoes, egg, curry sausage, two vleeskroketten and one mexicano. That whole thing is finished with hand-sliced French fries and classic burgersaus.
“a Few years ago, we have a cruise and that was very nice. We thought it would be a nice price would be. So I'm starting to think of how I could make that resemble a ship. We had previously already had a sandwich named ‘the steamer’ and on that idea we have continued to build. We have special sauces tasted so the challenge still a lot of flavor,” says author Marc Peeters, who soon got busy with his next challenge.
“Next week I will start with some ideas for next year. I more in the United States but also things that I see - such as the Atomium - provide the inspiration.”
The ‘cruise ship of Bales’ costs twenty euro. Although the French normally still in stock, it is recommended to book in advance. Those that the court in 40 minutes can be eaten, with the chance to win a cruise. That price is at the end of the year raffle.
“We are going to holiday vouchers to the value of a cruise. For example, the winner of the destination and the date.” Those who cruise the fastest can eat, of course, a price. “What that award means, it remains to wait. That depends on how many dishes there are to be sold. On the basis thereof, we provide a budget for that price.”
The eetuitdagingen of Marc and now have great fame, as appears also on social media. When the latest challenge on Facebook was announced, had the message, after two hours, all 600 comments. “Last week people began to call and ask for the latest challenge. It makes for a lot of response. There are a lot of regular customers that always to come here for the challenge.”
