The two passengers on board a large Airbus A320 aircraft from Eurowings got himself 23. may a bit of a surprise in the air over their native Italy.

the Passengers ended up therefore to use four hours and ten minutes on a more than 2300 kilometres long trip, not brought them much longer than from afgangsterminal to the plaza in Dusseldorf airport.

CNN Travel has asked Eurowings into the unfortunate debacle, and a spokesperson from the company explains to the media that 'coronakrisen have made the situation in many european airports is very dynamic'.

The two passengers, who had hoped to return home to Sardinia with Eurowings aircraft, however were not to pay for the long flight. They were instead offered new tickets for a later flight.
