Greece agreed to NATO accession to the North of Macedonia

The Greek Parliament as the first member of NATO, the accession of North Macedonia to the defense Alliance. Previously, there had been between Athens and Skopje to an agreement about the new name of the Balkan country.

Greece has ratified, as the first NATO-member of the Protocol to the accession to NATO of the future Republic of North Macedonia. 153 MPs voted in favour, 140 members of Parliament.
