The 76-year-old musician and visual artist Franz Beckerlee, which is known for its cooperation with the Kim Larsen of Denmark's biggest rock band, Gasolin', has - according to his criminal record within the last three years exceeded the speed limit by more than 30 percent and got two clips in the licence.
The current case, which was the subject of today's hearing, referred to an episode from the 9. august 2018, where Beckerlee drove over a red light and took a lane intended for drivers that need to run straight ahead, to swing to the right.
A policewoman who was called as a witness in the case, stated that Beckerlee had explained that 'he could not wait for the others to be able to get out of the starting blocks', because there had been green arrow for the drivers, who held in a queue to swing to the right.
Beckerlee, who was running in a yellow van, which, according to the politiassistenten looked like an old postbil, therefore chose to make use of the empty 'straight ahead'lane at the junction and then to swing in front of the waiting højresvings-drivers.
28. January was Beckerlee the first time in the district court in connection with the case, where he got to know that he had a right to bring a lawyer, when the case is going to court in march.

Between the two hearings had Beckerlee had a meeting with a defender, but when he found out that it was not free, he chose not to avail themselves of the opportunity.
- I found out that it costs 3000 dollars, and since I don't expect to win the case, so I do not think there is any reason to spend money on it, said Franz Beckerlee in court.
Even though he had a defender with him, fought Franz a brave battle to convince the court of his innocence.
Among other things, showed he is on your Macbook computer, a video of the intersection, where the two most recent offences have taken place.
the Video convinced, however, do not judge Knud Erik Schmidt, that Beckerlee should be acquitted. He found, instead, that Beckerlee interpret the rules of the road in a different way than the right.
- You have a very free interpretation of how the rules of the road are, said the judge.
