Familiestrid leads to new visitationszone around Motalavej

the Conflict between several families on Motalavej in Korsør now leads for the police to reinstate a visitationszone in an area around Motalavej.

Visitationszonen be introduced from today at 18 o'clock and applicable preliminary to Wednesday 19. august at 18 o'clock.

the Aim is to prevent criminal acts and restore security in the area, writes Sydsjællands - and Lolland-Falster police.

- It is totally unacceptable that we repeatedly experiencing civil unrest, muggings and fights. We re therefore visitationszonen, and we increase further the police presence. These tools have previously been shown to be effective in the circumstances to keep peace in the area, so residents can move safely, says police commissioner Lene Frank.

She calls on the parties which are active in the conflicts, to stop the turmoil.

- at the same time, I encourage area residents to assist the police to shed light on the events, as the residents have to witness. In this way we can get the perpetrators convicted, which in the end may lead to being evicted from their tenancy in the area, says police commissioner Lene Frank.

Visitationszonen means that the police in the zone are allowed to search people for weapons without first having made a charge, and without having to have an actual reasonable suspicion that the person concerned is in possession of weapons.

For the general public the zone not, however, have great significance.

the Police can choose to extend the period if there is a need and basis for it.
