For not much more than half a year ago could Nikolaj Hagelskjær, calling himself the captain of a super League club. He and Esbjerg fB was moved up in the best row again, and he had been a real man at right-back, but from the season's first match was dommedagsskriften on the wall.
Hagelskjær had been shaved for the benefit of the 21-year-old Daniel Anyembe, and such it remained throughout the second half of 2018. Therefore it was not surprising that charlie left the Club when his contract expired at the turn of the year.
Now, however, he found a new employer. As the Sport Fyn told yesterday, is Hagelskjær switched to Odense Boldklub in 2. division. It confirms the club even on its website.
- It is no secret that I the past six years have not played as much as I would like to Esbjerg, so therefore, I look forward to a new start in Middelfart, says Nikolaj Hagelskjær.
I have heard very good about the club by former team-mates, so after more talk with the club I was in no doubt that it was the place for me, explains the now former super League player.
Also in Middelfart, they are happy to be able to attract a capacity from the country's best range. Managing director Søren Godskesen see it as an important step in the development of the club.
- We get a gennemrutineret player into the squad, which through his duties as a captain in Esbjerg have been accustomed to take responsibility and take the lead. It's not every day that Burnley have the option to download a player from this shelf, so when the opportunity arose, it was with to turn to, tells the director.
- I have a clear expectation that Robert from day 1 will bid on and off the field, and that he is to strengthen us toward the spring of the important matches in the 2. divisionm, sounds it.
Nikolaj Hagelskjær has written a two-year contract with Odense Boldklub.
