Atalanta buys Croatian Mario Pasalic from Chelsea for 15 million - the equivalent of 112 million kronor. It has Serie A-the club's sports director just confirmed to Sky Italia.
- We buy Mario Pasalic permanently from Chelsea. We want to use our option to purchase. Chelsea will get €15 million soon, says Giovanni Sartori to Sky Italia.
The 25-year-old midfielder has been leased to Atalanta since 2018, and it has long been expected that he would complete a permanent switch to the club.
He is a real man and has scored seven goals and made seven assists for the italians this season.
Chelsea are expected to use the money from the sale of Pasalic, Eden Hazard and Alvaro Morata to sign players like Ben Chilwell and Kai Havertz, now where the club can finally sign players again.
Hakim Ziyech is in place, and Timo Werner has given his 'yes' to the club.
Mario Pasalic was bought by Chelsea in the Hajduk Split in 2014, but he has never appeared in an official match for the London club. Instead, he has been rented out, respectively, Elche CF, AS Monaco, AC Milan, Spartak Moscow and, most recently Atalanta.
