the lorry driver, who on Sunday (local time), ran against the protesters on a closed highway bridge in Minneapolis, was 'frustrated' about the closure.

As the tankbilen stood still, he was pulled out of the cab and beaten up by some of the protesters.

A protester captured the scene on his mobile phone.
'today I was witness to sheer malice. Thousands and thousands of protesters marched peacefully to demand justice for George Floyd, as tankbilen com pløjende directly toward the crowd,' wrote Zachary Donald on Twitter.
He added that the protesters had permission to be on the motorvejsbroen that because of the protest were blocked for traffic.

Late Sunday evening local time, informed the authorities in the jail Hennepin County Jail, that the lorry driver had been charged with assault, wrote CNN.
