Jens Otto Størup at the same time stresses that it is important to buy a dagsbevis, if you want to run privately in a car on yellow plates. Namely, it can be expensive if you don't follow the rules.

According to the Tax consequences to breaking the rules, you must pay a privatbenyttelsesafgift that you can be charged tax on a free car for the year, the car has been in the business or that you can get a fine for non-compliance with tax and afgiftslovene.

You must buy the dagsbeviser to the number of days you need to use the car privately. One can, however, not more than buy 20 dagsbeviser for the same car in a calendar year.

You buy dagsbeviser by logging on to the vehicle registration files with NemID or digital signature or in-app Dagsbevis, which can be downloaded in the App Store or Google Play. In the app you get dagsbeviset on the cell phone and to not print a receipt, which you should, when dagsbeviset be purchased via the Motorregisteret.
