Dead and seriously injured in road accident at Sportpaleis
Antwerp, near the Antwerp Sportpaleis, at the Gabriel Theunisbrug this morning a car on a pole on the tracks of a tram crash. The two occupants were pinched and had to be freed by the fire brigade. The passenger, a 32-year-old man from Merksem, died in the hospital.

The accident happened Saturday around 1 o'clock in the morning. Presumably skidded and the car on the tram tracks in the road surface on the bridge. The 32-year-old passenger from Merksem was spot resuscitated and transported to the hospital, where he later died. The driver, a 20-year-old man from Hoboken, was with severe injuries brought to the hospital. During an initial breath test showed the driver was under the influence.
