Daniel Agger was damn close to a drømmekontrakt with none other than FC Barcelona in 2012. It is no news.

But now, says Agger, more specifically, on the days when his signature was close to a piece of Spanish paper – but he ultimately chose Messi and co. from to be in his hjerteklub.

He had the contract lying in front of him.
- But then it was that the City came in from the ago. They would pay a little more, he explains.
It was obviously in Liverpool's interest, but Agger was not to the City. So better give up ævred completely.

A no was a no. And so, it all ended with that Agger pulled in the red Liverpool shirt again.
Daniel Agger represented Liverpool FC 2006-2014, where he gained 212 førsteholdskampe, before he returned home to Brøndby IF. Here he played a further two seasons, before he set his career in 2016.
