DSB scraps ad for DF after complaint from togkunde

A customer's complaint over three little words - 'No to Islam' - in an ad for the Danish people's Party in the DSB's latest issue of the free customer magazine published Out & See has got the railways to reject the advertisement in future editions of the magazine.

the Decision has been made to the DFs newly elected vice-president, mr Morten Messerschmidt, angry.

- It is completely daft, he says to Ekstra Bladet.

In an email to the customer write the Dsb's communication director Niels-Otto Fisker, to ad 'overall doesn't live up to DSB's reklamekodeks' and therefore will be removed.

- We will not assess the political advertisements as being offensive in itself, but after a concrete assessment, I have reached the conclusion that the mentioned ad in the July-august number crossword all in all, do not live up to DSB's reklamekodeks. I have today notified the agency that produces the magazine, says Niels-Otto Fisker to Ekstra Bladet.

- the Ad is not housebroken?

- that does not live up to the guidelines that apply to the ads in Out & See. We have know otherwise, but the specific ad lands outside of the disc.

Through the years, the magazine brought numerous ads from political parties. I know this is the first time we are in this situation, " says Niels-Otto Fisker.

From the Danish people's Party calls the vice-president Morten Messerschmidt, to DSB's management is making ready for the sudden boycot of the DF's ad.

- the Danish people's Party has, for years, advertised in the Out & See about the many different themes and causes. It has never been a problem - until now evidently.

- DSB's top makers must come out with a statement. This is totally daft, says Morten Messerschmidt, from the party's sommergruppemøde.

Ekstra Bladet has spoken with the customer who was offended by the 'No to Islam'. He does not want to be public.
