DN Opinion. Young asylum seekers suffer the greatest insecurity

Two representatives for the Christian democratic youth league, wrote in a letter to the editor of the DN Opinion (7 march) that the Swedish women's security has declined since the refugee crisis in 2015. It we also experience, but in a totally different way than described in the article.

We, and thousands of other women, live in constant fear for our loved extrabarn and grandchildren to be arrested by the police, thrown in detention and be deported to dangerous countries. We opened our hearts and our homes for young people who have fled and been offered a safe haven in Sweden.

in our families, become a sibling to our children and go in a Swedish school. They appreciate the equality of women, freedom of religion and freedom from the violence they encounter in Swedish society – the antithesis of everything that they have fled from.

But by sub-standard asylprocesser and arbitrary åldersbedömningar, young people have bitterly learned that the Swedish state celebrated the rule of law do not apply to them. Grounds for asylum are not being investigated, or dismissed as lies.

Authorities authoritarianism is often directly illegal, but is allowed to continue. Young people live in constant insecurity. The same applies to us, their English friends, mothers and grandmothers.

the state is no longer security but a threat to our loved ones, our families, and thus against ourselves. We wake from nightmares in which we see our loved ones injured and killed, and we devote our leisure to the to – often in vain – to try to save the youth from going under.

So our security has certainly declined since the ”refugee crisis” in 2015.
