D-A-D, revealed in an interview with Extra Magazine the other day that the 35-year-long rockægteskab teetering on the brink of a divorce.
on Friday in Aarhus we had some, there were happy, that they are not gone from each other yet.
D-A-D opened a map and gradually rare halturné, after the kind of the is kicked of the stage for the benefit of the far more lucrative amusement park under the open sky.
It performed the quartet with a roof over their head, and even if they do not blew it, so they tried hard through barely two hours, in his usual style was, it is supposed, entertainers must entertain.
the Band's hopelessly late twelfth album should have been out before the concert, but they have been busy arguing, then barely eight years after its predecessor comes ’A Prayer for the Loud’ first, in may or June.
nonetheless, the D-A-D the whole of the six intersections from the disc, and despite that the quality was excellent, so took the audience almost inevitably against the news, as if the bartender had said, there were not more Ceres in the Ceres Arena.
The dotted feast, but with the risk also to take the air out of the notification, then reviewer we damn right all the six new ones:
’the Burning Star’ is the album's singleforløber and also opened the ballet on the impactful show in Aarhus. A grim satan.
the Glorious ‘Musical Chairs’ was a rip-roaring speedboogie, while the large-scale title track sounded like D-A-D-e ZZ Top. Different and yet familiar.
’The Sky Is Made of the Blues’ was melodic and melancholic. With a touch of country. Even a win.
’Nothing Ever Changes’ fremturede on a springy riff, but despite megaomkvæd it sounded not like a they have on the sætlisten of the year.
There was no doubt that ’No Doubt About It’ had a cool intro and an almost AC/DC-esque refrain. The ruse a little more with the rest.
The good old songs were still both old and good. ’Jihad’, and a crazy enthusiastic ’Riding with Sue’ was among the highlights of the gøglernes unmistakable cocktail of tivoli, cabaret, circus and rockteater for the whole family.
the Latter is, perhaps, so much said, for the awesome Laust Sonne was the youngest in the room.
the Virtues is also old, but D-A-D suffer anything under that their fans become so far advanced in years, that they are not real powers other than to stand and stand. Or sit.
The promises-preferably the feet, if they are to pouring the beer down, and it reminded a little of the weird matte seance, when the AXL/DC are ready to help you inside of the neighbor, the stadium Ceres Park, in 2016: great concert. Flat audience.
There is space to 7000 in the sports hall, but that was only half full. The efforts of the four weirdos in the limelight did, however, wholeheartedly.
During the join them for the encore missed the assembly at last, they have become too old to go crazy. Or also began to Ceres just to work.
Bajerne flew at least through the air, as the irresistible ’Bad Craziness’ and ’Sleeping My Day Away’ sent the suspect segment in something close to ecstasy on a night where D-A-D compassed about their values and self-image of the world as a nationalklenodie.
There is no one quite like them. Let's hope they invite us to date.
