We are full of good intentions, but the financial picture must, of course, correct. Down The Road is a great program, but a little unrealistic for us. “Thanks to a generous sponsor, we can spend a day engaging behind-the-scenes of the zoo. Our sportleerkrachten will several sporting just a few short moments to organize in the indoor and outdoor swimming pool of The Nekker, where we have the whole week to stay and culinary spoiled. Thanks to the city of Mechelen, we can join a free art trail, which is the entire center crossed. Of course we want the boundaries of our pupils deflection and maximum enjoyment of this unique school.”

Financial aspects

But there is a problem: the financial side of the school. Currently, parents must 160 euro deposit. “That is a lot of money,” says Annick. “Can we really not ask. Some children come from families where this is not easy bijeengespaard. If your child comes home with the question of whether 160 euro deposit for the school trip, that is to swallow. Therefore we want to appeal to volunteers and sponsors.”
