"Bloody Unfair - Down with the Tampon tax": this is the title of a on world women's day, launched a Petition asking for the lower rate of VAT for women's sanitary products. Campax, the organization behind the Petition, has the so-called Pink Tax in the visor.
The petition asks, Tampons and other hygiene products for women, the reduced VAT rate of 2.5 percent. This rate applies to goods of daily needs. Tampons and pads are, however, taxed at the normal rate of 7.7 percent.
