The u.s. automaker Ford will be CO2 neutral at the global level by 2050.
It informs Ford in a press release.
Ford stresses that the CO2-neutrality means that the discharged CO2-emissions in one area, there must be a corresponding reduction in emissions in other areas.
in Order to achieve this goal will Ford in the first place focus on three main areas, which currently is responsible for approximately 95 percent of the company's CO2 emissions - the use of cars, vendors and the company's factories and facilities.
Ford is the only american car manufacturer that commits to reduce its CO2 emissions, so it is living up to the environmental requirements, which was presented in the Paris agreement in 2015.
- We can produce amazing cars, have a strong business model and at the same time act sustainably and take responsibility for our common climate. We don't have all the answers yet, but we are determined to find them, in cooperation with our local as well as global partners and stakeholders, said Bob Holycross, vice president and chief sustainability, environment and safety at Ford Motor Company.
Ford informs therefore do not have concrete plans for how they will ensure that they can live up to the mandatory goal to be CO2-neutral by 2050.

It will, in the course of 2021 result in 18 the electrified Ford models in the european market in total, which includes both mildhybrider, hybrids, plug-in hybrids and full electric vehicles.
