American couple gets life imprisonment for torturing their children

A couple from the us state of California Friday, has been sentenced to life imprisonment for having abused and tortured their children.

the Man and woman, David and Louise Turpin, has previously declared himself guilty of having abused and tortured 12 of their 13 children for years.

There was the Friday sentencing, and here they were therefore sentenced to life imprisonment with possibility of parole after 25 years.

The horrifying case has caused a stir in the UNITED states and several locations have been dubbed the "house of horrors" ("rædslernes house", red.).

It sentenced the pair was arrested in January 2018, when its 17-year-old daughter called the police after fleeing from the family home southeast of Los Angeles.

the Children, who were between two and 29 years old at the time, was very underweight and had not taken a bath in months.

Their home smelled violently of human remains.

Several of the children spoke out Friday for the first time in the context of the sentence. Among them was one of the couple's daughters.

- My life may have been bad, but it has made me strong. I have struggled to become the person I am.

- I saw, how my father changed my mother. They were also just about to change me, but it dawned on me what was about to happen. I am a warrior, I am strong, and I shoot through life like a rocket, says the daughter.

Several of the children expressed that they still love their parents.

When the police found the children in 2018, many of them stopped to grow. The children also described how they had been beaten, starved and put into cages.

the Children lived so isolated in their homes, that some of them were not even aware of the role of the police, as it appeared among them.

Two girls on 11 and 14 years old had been released from their shackles, shortly before the police arrived to the home. A 22-year-old son was still chained.
