American actor terrorism: It has nothing with islam to do

He is known primarily for his role as mobster Semion in the film 'Underworld', and in 2019 thunders skuespiltalentet Ali Sivandi again up on the screen, when he becomes a part of the sequel to 'taking hostage', shown on Channel 5.

Here he plays the terrorist Rami, who hijacks a ferry on the Sound, and it has been an interesting character to delve into, he says, en Ekstra Bladet meets him.

- It has been interesting to show how such a type can be, says Ali Sivandi at the meeting, which takes place before the dobbeltdrabet on a Norwegian and English woman in Morocco.

According to Ali Sivandi, who himself is a muslim, has types as Rami, nothing with islam to do.

- There are many who believe that this is islam but it has nothing with islam to do. It is just some radicalised, brainwashed types who try to justify – at least to my character – their past I know to do these things and take it out on innocent people, he explains and adds.

- My character has been hard-nosed criminal in her old life, and perhaps prison life has made him a little dumber than he was. He has found a peace of mind by taking in the mosque, which has been preached about, that the West has made all sorts of bad things, and he has so got to know that if you die as a martyr, you are going directly to heaven, but it is not the right one. You're not going to heaven by harming other people.

- But I'm not the most devout, and I don't go to mosque every Friday. I have an approach to it, and I know that you must treat people with respect and show people the best of themselves. This is what islam is all about.

the Role is yet another example of Ali Sivandi do well as a villain. From the mobster Semion to the terrorist Rami. But he tells that he is going forward, would like to try themselves in other roles.

I have thanked no to a few roles, and I want to be very careful with what I take next time. I have delivered this type of character in many different genres, and I'm a little tired of playing it. Not thus, I do not think it is fat, but I will not put myself in the stall.

Filming for season two of 'taking hostage' was completed earlier in the month and will appear next year.
