a few days ago was Wow Air dangerously close to bankruptcy, and today all flights are cancelled. It writes Check-in.dk

'Wow Air has ceased its activities. All Wow Air flights are cancelled', writes Wow Air on its website.

the Extra Leaf has also gotten comments from passengers, who say their departure to Keflavik is cancelled.

'Had to ha' been to the Island today, but WOW Air has suspended all flights. The aircraft appears to have been seized', writes a reader for 1224.

On the Wow Air website there is a brief information to the passengers that they must search the flights with other airlines:

'Some airlines will offer tickets at reduced rates in shelter of the circumstances. Information on these airlines will be published when they become available', writes Wow Air in the communication, where it is said about bankruptcy:

'In the event of bankruptcy, the requirements should be directed to the administrator or the administrator'.

According to the announcement, passengers who have paid for a ticket, turn to their credit card companies and see if they can get the money back.

Some passengers will also be covered, if they have bought the ticket through a travel agent, or if they have a special insurance.

Wow Air is relatively new in the skies. The company has been in operation since may 2012 and has grown quickly. In January 2017 the company had the lowest rates for north America ever, and at the time sounded positive notes from the founder and ceo of Wow Air, Skuli Mogensen, to Ekstra Bladet.

- Last year, increased our capacity by 130 percent, in the year we will grow by between 70 and 80 percent and have over 30 destinations from the Island, ruled Skuli Mogensen two years ago.

'I will never be able to forgive myself for not acting earlier when it's obvious that Wow was an incredible airline, and we were on the right track to do good things again'.

'I sincerely hope that we can remember our achievements as a pioneer in the field of lavprisflyvning'.
