After the DN:s disclosure: Want to set up a new group in order to evaluate the EU contribution in the Stockholm region

Millions of dollars – which really should go to the projects, including the long-term unemployed – has been paid out in contravention of the rules.

Via Strukturfondspartnerskapet get the region of over 2.3 billion in 2014-2020 to support development in the county.

the Aim of the group is to control how payments, follow-up and evaluation of the contributions works.

– We can look back in time, but above all, we want to ensure that this does not happen again, " she says.

The formal decision on a working group shall be taken at a meeting of the Strukturfondspartnerskapet on June 4, and if the proposal goes through she hopes to be on site in the autumn.

She says that Sweden pays a pretty high fee to the EU, at the same time that we get back a lot of money via the European Regional development fund and European social fund.

" I think it is very important that the money we get back is used in the right way and the benefit of Sweden and the taxpayer.

There are eight different structural funds partnership consisting of Sweden, with a chairman appointed by the government.
