The bakery where Jo and his wife Cynthia to november 2017 worked was 200 years in the hands of the same family remained. “In 1992 we took over the business and we have a lot of fun, but a broker did a very nice bid at our bakery and so we decided of our life for the better,” says Jo. “I decided in employment act and hoped in that way also my social life a bit more on track. First I worked a while in a kippenkraam, but that job was just too heavy. I was sometimes from 2.30 am until the evening 17 hours on the road. After that I worked in a gourmet home, but I had no to little contact with customers and also my creativity is not in it. My wife was blessed to have a job that lay ahead, in a butcher's shop in Roeselare.”
Jocys IceJo was looking for new challenge and dreamed of becoming a stand-alone activity. “And as we have years of ice cream in our bakery sold, I came up with the idea to create a ijsjeskar the job on to pull” beams Jo. “We have always had good responses received and in Lendelede reed already there for a while, no cart around, so that seemed like a excellent plan.” Jo tapped a cart on the head and baptizes them into Jocys Ice cream, a contraction of his name and that of his wife Cynthia. “The nice thing is that we can appeal to a secret family recipe that is 125 years old,” reveals Jo. “There is a natural product in that you don't with ice cream would associate. More I say not. I have 67 types of ice cream in my range, which I 25 in the cart. We regularly exchange. So I try now meringue with lime. A species that is very good, is poppy, though it is not yet in all municipalities, as well known. Further, also sell classics like vanilla, chocolate and strawberry are good.
