64 dead cats found in woman's home

American Caycee Bregel find themselves in something of a kattepine, after the authorities found out that she saved his deceased cats around her home.

Now the woman arrested and charged with animal cruelty.

Caycee Bregel drive otherwise a rescue center in the u.s. state of Minnesota, where she among other things took care of abandoned dogs and cats.

Authorities became aware of the woman, as several persons complained that a wild pig was near her home.

When an investigator opened the door to the home, he was greeted by a nasty smell.

- It was a disgusting case, and the person who has these animals, must be held to account for it, says the investigator, Keith Schiff, to the media.

- I simply don't know what went wrong here. But one must remember that the woman actually tried to rescue the animals. Maybe it was a bigger task than expected, he continues.

In the house, found 64 dead cats 43 cats that were still alive, five dogs and a pig.

The american woman was arrested last year, but not until now has she been convicted.

According to court documents, it was found the dead cats in a freezer and in the fridge, while several of the cats was lying and rotting in the garage.

Caycee Bregel has been assigned 200 hours of community service, two years of probation and must be assigned to a psychiatrist.
