365 days without accidents on the city ring

the 338 accidents in five years, bad reputation and lack of security.

It was just a few years ago the reality of the Copenhagen Metro Team, which is behind the metrobyggeriets 17 construction sites in Copenhagen. But there is some evidence now that you've got missed the boat on an even keel.

the Project, which next year will conclude in the new metro line, the city ring, has been underway since 2011. And in the first year, the Copenhagen Metro Team clearly find it difficult to handle the challenges it gave to have at least 24 different nationalities gathered at the construction sites.

The 338 accidents all took place between 2011 and 2016, which is to say, that on average was one accident for about every fifth day during this period.

" We've had intense focus on occupational health and safety from the building beginning in 2011. The new culture should, according to Sigurd Nissen-Petersen 'massaged in' with all employees every day.

- A crucial factor has been the establishment of a new culture, where people talk with each other, care of each other and know that we have an obligation to interfere if there are problems with security, says the deputy director of the Invitation to tender.

He points out, moreover, that there are now also been selected fiduciary and health and safety representatives on the seats, and that the security supposedly is something to talk more about.

the Invitation writes that the Danish work with to increase the safety of metrobyggepladerne has come to form the basis for a new security concept with the Italian Salini Impregilo, which constitute the Copenhagen Metro Teams parent organisation.

It's called 'Think Safety' and as the name suggests at all time to think safety into all work processes on the square.
