A wind turbine caught fire in a field near Losheim am See in Saarland late Wednesday evening. The wind turbine was completely on fire during the night, as the fire brigade announced. According to the police, the wind turbine is 100 meters high.

Because of the height of the wind turbine, there was still a risk of falling debris several hundred meters away. The L377 between Losheim am See and Rissenthal was completely closed. The North Saarland Police Inspectorate reported that debris had fallen onto the street.
