- Being investigated as murder

Police in Oslo flesh Thursday night press conference in connection with a suspicious death at Bjørndal. A woman was on Thursday morning found dead in an apartment. She is currently not identified.

Surveys started with a bekymringsmelding from an employer. We responded to the apartment and found the deceased, which we believe is a woman. There were also several factors that made that we considered the death as suspicious. We are investigating it as a homicide, " says politiinspektør Grete Lien Metlid. She adds that a man in the 30s is arrested and charged with murder.

the Police have no idea who the woman is, but Metlid say they do not exclude that the charged persons and the woman have a relationship. There shall be no signs of burglary in the apartment.

- The pågrepne will be interrogated in the evening. There was nothing special about the arrest, but it happened out-of-town, tells Metlid. She won't say anything about what led to the arrest, but adds that the person is completely unknown to the police from earlier.

If someone has information that may be interesting, so would like the police tips. They went out early, and characterized the death as suspicious because of the circumstances in the apartment.

Metlid says at the press conference that they have some idea of when the murder has taken place, but will not say any more details about this.

In the evening ongoing investigations still fully in place. Police and kriminalteknikere is armed. The police have set up a tent outside the apartment where the woman was found dead. The entire area is blocked off so that no one gets access to the investigations that are in progress.
