Hunger Games hunk Liam Hemsworth was flung from his board while surfing in Malibu, California.
The actor, who is engaged to singer Miley Cyrus, donned a full length black wetsuit to keep out the chill of the Pacific Ocean as he expertly manoeuvred the waves. However, one move saw him fall from his board, landing on his derriere in the shallows.
Liam, 27, didn’t let that put him off getting back on his board though, and we’re sure Miley will be only too pleased to help if he needs some tender loving care when he gets home.
He and the former Hannah Montana star have had a notoriously on-off relationship, but things are very much back on for the pair.
In a recent interview, Miley spoke about how she is now drug and alcohol free. While the former Disney princess had been open about smoking cannabis, she said she had not had any weed or alcohol for three weeks, which is the longest she has ever gone without.
She and Liam first met on the set of movie The Last Song, which was adapted from a novel by The Notebook author Nicholas Sparks. They got engaged in 2013, but hit a rocky patch when Miley began to shake off her clean cut Disney image, infamously twerking with Robin Thicke at the MTV Video Music Awards.
They were spotted getting cosy again last year and Miley has now said that the couple had to “re-fall” for each other.
It is understood that Miley is now gearing up for a new music release, having been quiet on social media of late. The singer has teased the lyrics for her upcoming track through Twitter, and it is believed that her new material comes from the heart.
The song appears to tell of Miley’s failed engagement to Liam and how the pair later found their way back to each other. Lyrics talk about how it was supposed to be hot all summer long, adding: “I never would’ve believed you if three years ago you told me I’d be here writing this song.”
In an interview, she said she had written it to put the power back in her own hands because people would talk anyway if they spotted her out and about with Liam. The new song is expected to be released in mid May, with an album to follow later this year.
