A whole tennisverden is in these hours to the news that Andy Murray's retirement is closer than expected.
the Briton announced on Friday morning at a press conference in Melbourne that he due to his pain in the hip is close to throwing in the towel. Already after the Australian Open, which begins next week.
It has been his colleague Nick Kyrgios, who is roughly the exact opposite of the calm and balanced Murray on a course, to krænge his feelings for the briton out on Instagram.
Andy, I know that you see me as a joker most of the time, but listen to me here, old friend. You will always be one that impacted the sport in so many ways. I realize that you never desired that it should be your way out, but hey, it was something of a trip, write Kyrgios.
- You took me under your wing, as soon as I came on the Tour, and to this day you remain one, I literally look forward to seeing. You are a crazy tennis player, much better than I, but you should know that today is not just a sad day for you and your team, it is a sad day for the sport and for all that you have influenced. Including me, good friend.
Plus Niels beat all with smart tactic: It is here you shall not do in PL-manager!
- I just want to tell you, as you already know, that all just want that you continue to fight and continue to be you. Good luck in the Australian Open, Muzz, I stand behind you, writes Kyrgios.
The 23-year-old australian will probably never star in the sport, as Murray has been in a decade. There ranks neither the talent, zeal or love for the sport.
He in turn has about as many cases of disciplinary problems, as Murray has titles.
Kyrgios is not the only star in tennis, who is shocked over the announcement.
My heart breaks listening to @andy_murray during his press conference... Hope he will make it through two Wimbledon and have the farewell he deserves . #greatguy— Kim Clijsters (@Clijsterskim) January 11, 2019
