Stuck on the bench and Chelsea will not get rid of him

new year, new start, but same old problems...

January is nytårsforsætternes time, and out in the football-Europe is a bunch of Danish players, which guaranteed had more minutes on the pitch as their intent, as the 2018 was for 2019.

One of them is Andreas Christensen in Chelsea.

For some it comes a trænerskifte as a blessing, others as a curse. Under Antonio conte's leadership was the 22-year-old midfielder a key part of the team.

Christensen got 23 Premier League matches from the start and reached a total of 40 matches in all tournaments last season.

Maurizio Sarri has taken control, and it has given David Luiz another chance.

the Brazilian felt frozen out of Conte and played not at all for the last. Had Conte been, was Luiz progressed, but with Sarri as the boss is luck turned for Luiz - and Andreas Christensen.

Conte preferred to play with three in central defense, Sarri uses only two, and it has been David Luiz and German Antonio Rudiger throughout the season.

Andreas Christensen has scored one measly battle in the Premier League (a defeat to Wolverhampton at the beginning of december), and has otherwise had to settle with playing in the Europa League and in the League Cup and in the FA Cup.

It is frustrating for him to be stuck bænkevarmer in the Premier League, and the transition to ’the Sarri-ball’ has not been easy.

The 59-year-old Italian manager has not, however, intend to get rid the dane who, by all accounts, is caught in the reserverollen the rest of the season.

- Christensen is out of the market. He is an important player for us, was it before christmas from Sarri, since the talk of a loan to FC Barcelona began to rumle.

Catalonierne was in acute forsvarsproblemer, but Christensen was not allowed to be a problem solver at the Nou Camp.

Although it has not been for many minutes, there are positive reports. Sarri has praised the team for having improved his defending.

- Now he's ready to play. We have a very good possible replacement for Luiz and Rüdiger, said Sarri for just a week and a half ago for the club's website.

the Question is just, about Andreas Christensen will get more than beautiful words by his Italian boss.

There is no doubt that Sarri is happy to have such a strong reserve as Andreas Christensen, but it is equally certain, that the Danish landsholdsforsvarer feel that he needs more minutes.

He is either rented out or sold in this window, but who is waiting for a decisive summer, in which both Andreas Christensen and Chelsea must make some big choices.

The former Brøndby-keeper got a terrible start in Frankfurt. He lost his first match 0-5 to Bayern Munich, and before this summer's transfervindue was over, had Rønnows club downloaded Kevin Trapp home from Paris.

The German keeper is only rented, but Frankfurt will be glad to keep fanyndlingen. The Bundesliga club are, however, satisfied with Rønnow, and according to sports director Bruno Hübner of the Danish landsholdsreserve the first choice, if Trapp is not retrieved permanently.

It has been a rough first time in the Lazio for Durmisi. The former Brøndby-back switched in summer to the Italian hovedstadsklub from the Spanish Betis, but it is not very the Lazio tifosi have seen for the Danish venstrekant.

Experienced Senad Lulic't going to give her space, and Durmisi has mainly had to make do with minutes in the Europa League. There can, therefore, be for a quick return to Spanish football, where danskerglade Celta is interested in hiring him.

The former super League's top scorer has had it hard in belgian football since sommerskiftet in 2017 from FCN. Injuries are something of legend, but far from the whole. In this season's U21-national player almost not been a part of the Genks kamptrup.

The 23-year-old angribers agent, Michael Stensgaard, have a dialogue with the club about what needs to be done. Wood is a key player on the U21 national team, and with a view on the summer's european championships, it is crucial that he gets playing time. There's going to be worked right up to the deadline on it.

Christian Nørgaard has, like so many other Danish players learned that Serie A can be a difficult place to get to. The former Brøndby-profile changed in the summer to Fiorentina, but has not gotten many minutes in his first season at the Florence club.

Landsholdsbobleren have been in the squad for virtually all the matches, but have seen them from the bench. Just twice has he started inside the Serie A, while he has been changed into a walk. It looks like a tilvænningssæson for the 24-year-old midtbanemand.

The 26-year-old defender left off in the summer is not away from FC Cologne after nedrykningen from the Bundesliga. He was in the beginning of the season not at all a part of coach Markus Anfangs plans, but was, after all, a part bænketjanser and a few indhop towards the end of autumn.

however, It is far from a sustainable situation for the former Juventus player, who has the level to much more than the bench in the 2. Bundesliga. For both the Cologne and especially Frederik Sørensen will it make sense to get the problem resolved in this transfervindue.

The former Hobro-man has been horribly plagued by injuries in recent seasons. He was most recently playing for Mainz 05 back in april and have no future at the Bundesliga club, who have not got much out of the 25-year-old brash attack.

Emil Berggreens contract expires after this season, but can Mainz get rid of him already now, makes it like it. Hamburger Abendblatt has referred to him as a subject in 2. The Bundesliga club St. Pauli.
