- We have lost a mentor, our coach and the man who created us. He taught us how we should play, to never give up, how important it was to win our individual battles and what was needed to play for Manchester United. Eric, we owe you everything, writes Gary Neville on Twitter.
Harrison spent 27 years at Old Trafford as a coach. He was hired by the club in 1981, but got their really big break in 1986, when Sir Alex Ferguson - as he worked closely with - restructured the entire scouting network of Manchester United.
