Throughout the eight sailors from Vejle has with immediate effect expelled from their place of work, after the Wednesday morning was tested for alcohol and drugs.

The on-the-spot testing took place in the early morning between 05.00-08.00.

Here it turned out that the bin men to one degree or another were affected.

- We have a zero tolerance policy, and the employees know that we are doing these routine check on all of our 600 employees, says the Line Meldgaard, who is the director and personnel specialist in the company Meldgaard.

- I have to admit that we were somewhat surprised that the eight former employees were affected. We are always surprised, if an employee is affected during a check-up. But the eight-man is of course deeply regrettable, states Line Meldgaard to Ekstra Bladet.

- Many of our employees drive the around on the roads in great cars. And it would be terrible if an intoxicated driver came to run a child down.

They also get to know that we want to help them, if they have an alcohol problem. But if they are harvested in a check, so there's nothing to do.
