the Explosion is believed to be caused by a gas leak, and about 200 firefighters are working at the address in the Rue de Trevise in the ninth arrondissement - about a mile from the Opera.

the Explosion has caused concern in many places, as the authorities fear new violent demonstrations in the weekend of the so-called yellow jackets. Over 5000 policemen are udkommanderet various strategic locations in the city.
The Yellow Jackets began their protests in mid-november. The demonstrations began as peaceful protests against the high cost of living. However, they have since taken the form of a more general dissatisfaction with president Emmanuel Macron and developed violent.
The French interior minister, Christophe Castaner, informs, according to news agency AP, that the 'situation is under control'.
