Erdogan has been humiliated can several times in a short period of time. Only then, his hometown and political turf fell into the opposition's hands after the election. After an analysis of the outcome decided, Erdogan, that it was wisest to accept the result and try to win back the groups of the electorate who abandoned his AKP: storstadsliberaler and kurds.
But he would be humiliated again. In the week proclaimed, far-right Devlet Bahceli, Erdogan's seat back in parliament, that it was not current with any of it, Erdogan planned. The choice would certainly be made and all of the invitations to the liberals, or the kurds was unthinkable. Until recently would a politician who used that tone against Erdogan, on his own accord put his career and his freedom on the game.
at their own discretion. He spoke in the name of the turks, small demonic usually call ”the deep state”; the military, the security services and their allies, judges and bureaucrats. This invisible coalition of interests has accepted the prime minister as a guarantor of stability, but have always suspected him of not being sufficiently militant in the kurdish issue. Erdogan's speech on the ”new alliances” recalled the state the guardian of Erdogan's bold negotiations with the PKK 2009-2015, as they forced him to cancel.
Two days after Bahceli issued his warning made Erdogan a u-turn and deklamerade, like a schoolboy in a läxförhör, point for point all the Bahceli dekreterat: the Choice must be made; no other alliances are relevant for the AKP's part than it with Bahcelis MHP; the selection was determined after kurdish PKK given the country's kurds orders to vote for opposition candidates.
Erdogan could have taken the battle on this, made common cause with the opposition parties the CHP and the kurdish HDP and demonstrated. He has large pieces of business with them – they are waiting for bailouts from the IMF and the west. Such a struggle for democracy would applåderats in the west. Erdogan is a fighter, he has shown he has the nerves to fight an uphill battle. But he did not take this battle, apparently because he realized that it was lönlös. How convinced is he? If it can only speculate. In the last year, when former president Abdullah Gül was considering to set up in the presidential election against Erdogan, he was awarded a visit by the commander-in-chief, now minister of defence, Hulusi Akar. Afterwards announced Gül immediately he changed his plans.
Turkey's most very popular singer Zülfü Livaneli says to dagens nyheter:
" They've stolen the election. Turkey is no longer a democracy.
if Erdogan's long maktperiod coming to an end. But the moment he starts to lose the important choices and also shows the tendencies to approach and win back their many kurdish voters, illuminates warning lamps of the nationalists who see the situation in Syria as an urgent threat to Turkey's future. As long as the kurds there, supported by the united states and in alliance with the Turkish PKK guerrillas, continue to master the border areas, so can the Turkish nationalists do not accept that kurdish voters will decide the elections in Istanbul.
the HDP, the party's imprisoned kurdish leader Selahattin Demirtas decided before the election not to nominate its own candidates. Of his constituents, mainly kurds, would instead vote on the kemalistiska the opposition party the CHP, he recommended. The result was a stjärnsmäll for Erdogan's AKP, which, although it won nationally, but lost a long series of cities. To the kurds, turns out to have a casting vote in the Turkish elections scares the state before the upcoming presidential election.
