The urge to travel to Mexico is breastfed

The restaurant, La Taqueria has long been a secret tip. Because of this friendly pub is tucked away in a courtyard in Altstetten, only found Dedicated to it. Now the operators Aaron Langolf and Eddy Hernandez have opened a second branch in the former Huusmaa. Although the area is full of Take-aways, we have to admit: As a casual Mexican has just been the last straw. Since it is open, you can treat yourself here in the middle of the afternoon or late in the evening, Burritos, Tacos or Quesadillas.

Ideal for a quick Lunch, the Taquitos are three small, crispy, with beef - or Chicken-filled Tacos (20.90 Fr.). They are covered with a generous salad, Sour cream, fresh cheese and Guacamole. Perfect for Horchata, a sweet rice drink with vanilla and cinnamon, which is available as other soft drinks made at the Bar will fit. Sympathetic: For 5.50 Swiss francs, you can refill the glass to taste.

"Taco Place without Texmex-Touch"

a Little dry, the month menu, from Tortillas filled with sweet potatoes, Chorizo, and Avocado is. For this, you can taste immediately that the Tortillas are not made of the usual corn flour, but freshly ground grains of corn. Well, the Brunn Kress salad with lime-Agave Vinaigrette that is served with it is. Almost overwhelming selection of Mexican Beers is. In addition to Liter bottles with Sol (for proud 16.90 Fr.) there are also a number of Beers from Mexican microbreweries, such as the Tiniebla (6.50 Fr./Bottle).

We would go to this place even if the food would be bad: The atmosphere is so authentic, that we immediately get itchy feet to Mexico. It is full, it smells like Corn, the decoration is colorful as on the market in Tijuana. In fact, Eddy Hernandez is Mexican; Südkalifornier Aaron Landolf grew up on the border to Mexico. When the two met in Zurich to know and in vain for a "cool Taco Place without Texmex-Touch" sought how Langolf says, was born the idea for the Taqueria.
