‘The Favourite’ is the big winner of the BAFTA's, the ‘Roma’ wins best film

Film ‘Roma’ by the Mexican director Alfonso Cuaron has presented the BAFTA for the best film won. The Netflix-produced film had seven nominations for the major British film awards in the wait dragged.

In his film ‘Roma’ gives Cuaron a vivid and moving picture of the life of a housekeeper during the political unrest in the Mexico of the seventies. Cuaron went home with the BAFTA award for best film.

‘The Favourite’ won the most awards today: the award for best production design, best make-up & hairstyle, best original screenplay and best costume design. The drama of the Greek director Yorgos Lanthimos was less than twelve times nominated. the

The British Olivia Colman won the award for best actress, for her role in ‘The Favourite’. Plays she the British queen Anne, in the beginning of the eighteenth century. Other nominees in this category were Glenn Close (‘The Wife’), Lady Gaga ("A Star Is Born’), Melissa McCarthy ("Can You Ever Forgive Me?’) and Viola Davis (‘Widows’).
