Santa claus pulls thanks to HLN readers early to Cor (4) in Sint-Truiden: girl experience now unforgettable christmas
Sint-Truiden The harrowing story of mama Evy Roosen (37) and her four-year-old daughter Cor has won the hearts of the HLN(.be)-reader hit. The comments and statements of support for the mom and her daughter, who is in an uninhabitable shack in the centre of Sint-Truiden live, are downright heartwarming.

Behind the facade of the house of Evy, and Cor, to the city park, there is bitter poverty. The water is dripping off of the ceiling, the mold on the walls, in the only living area is their bed. There is no plumbing. Evy and Cor to go to the toilet on a second-hand ziekenhuisstoel. There is no central heating, no kitchen. Daughter Cor dared not barbie doll to santa claus to ask. But thanks to the HLN readers that's going to change.

“Yesterday, I stood here suddenly a van of Bol.com for the door with two presents for Cor. I've told Cor said that santa claus the article in the newspaper had read, and for once an exception has been made. Cor was me two barbie dolls to extract.”

Readers of hln.be from the whole of Flanders responded and were ready to deposit money, clothes to donate and barbie dolls for Cor to collect. Everyone wants that small Cor of a magical christmas should experience.

Santa's little helpers

best friends Charmy Roelstraete , Sara Jones, Carol-Ann Cornelis and Silke Hens from the East-Flemish Zwalm are deeply touched by the story of Cor and Evy and join hands together to make them both a fantastic christmas experience. “We have a facebook group created which we use to help collect and coordinate. We also have a GoFundMe page set up to raise money for the deposit on a decent house to pay for it. We are going to companies and BV's contact up to help and ‘fame’ to collect. Call us Santa's Little Helpers. We have small children and it made us sad to read that people today, in Flanders, in such a poignant way Christmas should celebrate.” says the 37-year-old Charmy Roelstraete.

In Sint-Truiden is Gunther Leenen desperately looking for a suitable property. “I already have two apartments can find, but keep searching until I drop to a cottage, where the dogs can go.”
