Santa claus pulls thanks to HLN readers early to Cor (4) in Sint-Truiden: girl experience now unforgettable christmas

Sint-Truiden The harrowing story of mama Evy Roosen (37) and her four-year-old daughter Cor has won the hearts of the HLN(.be)-reader hit. The comments and statements of support for the mom and her daughter, who is in an uninhabitable shack in the centre of Sint-Truiden live, are downright heartwarming.

Behind the facade of the house of Evy, and Cor, to the city park, there is bitter poverty. The water is dripping off of the ceiling, the mold on the walls, in the only living area is their bed. There is no plumbing. Evy and Cor to go to the toilet on a second-hand ziekenhuisstoel. There is no central heating, no kitchen. Daughter Cor dared not barbie doll to santa claus to ask. We have small children and it made us sad to read that people today, in Flanders, in such a poignant way Christmas should celebrate.” says the 37-year-old Charmy Roelstraete.
