Andersson and Jonung (AJ) argues for market rents straight for all. A major problem with their reasoning is that they completely misrepresented the results in a for the article central report of Finananspolitiska the council on the distribution of market rents in the greater stockholm area.
According to AJ, the report would show that market rents would ”have the redistributive beneficial effect to reduce rents in the metropolitan outskirts of the city at the same time that they are raised in the centre”. But in fact, the report shows (table 7.2) that rents will rise by 33 per cent in the inner suburbs, 18% in norrförort and with 29 per cent in the suburb. Of the 34 churches outside the inner city may all but two of the rent increases.
